Bramdean Asset Management LLP (Bramdean) was founded by Nicola Horlick and Sir Derek Higgs in 2004. It received FCA approval in early 2005 and managed a number of Dublin-based funds. In 2007, it launched an alternative asset fund on the London Stock Exchange and the management team then took the decision to focus entirely on alternative assets.

Bramdean advises small and medium-sized companies on mergers and acquisitions and also operates a private equity platform for high-net-worth and sophisticated investors. As well as providing equity to investee companies, it also provides debt.
