Nicola Horlick
Nicola graduated from Balliol College, Oxford with a degree in Jurisprudence. She joined SG Warburg in 1983 as a graduate trainee and was appointed a director in 1989. In 1991, she moved to Morgan Grenfell and was appointed the Managing Director of Morgan Grenfell Investment Management in 1992. Over the following five years, funds under management grew from £4 billion to £22.5 billion. In 1997, Nicola was the founding director of SG Asset Management, which was part of Societe Generale. The target was to grow assets under management from zero to £5bn over the first five years. This target was achieved after two years and the company was managing £7bn after three years. In 2004, Nicola founded Bramdean with Sir Derek Higgs. Bramdean has focused exclusively on the management of alternative assets since 2007. Nicola was also a founding partner of Rockpool Investments in 2011 and also co-founded Money&Co., a P2P lending platform, in 2013.

Laura Jones
With over 25 years of experience working in the Asset Management industry, Laura has spent the past 15 years working with start-up companies, covering numerous operational elements ranging from HR, Compliance, Office Management, and Customer Service to Fund Administration. Having previously worked at ICI, Robert Fleming, Morgan Grenfell, Soc Gen Asset Management, and Bramdean Asset Management, Laura has also personally established a successful Domiciliary Care business.

Nick Thurlow
Nick has over 30 years of banking and finance experience. Starting as a graduate trainee with HSBC in 1990, he progressed through senior Treasury roles within Credit Suisse, Bankers Trust, and finished his mainstream banking career with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). Within SCB he held senior roles in New York, London, and was Head of Treasury for Zimbabwe. In 2006 Nick started Upload Films, a production, and finance company for independent films. In the past 14 years, Nick has worked on over 65 films. His credits include Oscar winner “Moonlight” and nominee “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri”. Nick brings sector expertise in the Media and Fintech areas to Bramdean.
